We here at Nene’s Barkery believe in feeding our dogs like we feed our family, whole natural foods and ingredients. We shop weekly for our ingredients and let what we find inspire us to create our flavors listed or a new flavors altogether. We love to create new combinations!
WE take orders daily & bake each and every order weekly with same day local delivery or shipping across the country.
Dogs are our Love & our passion. My first “sibling” was a German shepherd named Duke We were born two months apart and literally grew up together. He was my 1st Best friend and our first loss of a loved one. Later in life, I adopted Maxx from the humane society, and it was love at first sight! He was a Cocker Schnauzer mix and just a great, smart dog. That is when I began making homemade treats. He loved them and I loved making them for him. Mojoe , a loving , happy, vocal, Cocker Spaniel, came later, but we got away from making our treats and started feeding them store bought treats, “because they are just as good right?”. Maxx crossed the Rainbow Bridge due to liver failure 6 years ago, and Mojoe and I were extremely sad. Last year our vet told me that Mojoe’s liver enzymes were high, and he could face the same fate Maxx. I asked what causes elevated enzymes. She told me Toxins. Toxins?! From where? ! She explained to me that toxins are in Dog Food, & Dog Treats, cleaning supplies, and the environment. Well that is all I needed to hear, I immediately returned to making our treats for our crew, and found better dog food & switched to all natural cleaning products. As a result Mojoe’s enzymes have lowered and his skin condition had dissipated, and he has a shiny healthy coat, and doesn’t itch any longer, his weight is down and he is acting like his new 6 year old brother Molson, not like the 11 years he actually is!
Soon after - our friends began to inquire about our treats & Nene’s Barkery was born!
